He is impressive as ever. The people of Kentucky did a great thing sending him to D.C. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Sen. Paul's plan to balance the budget in five years. It puts Paul Ryan's plan to shame.
Did You Know that a man named Bernard von NotHaus has been issuing silver coins to replace the dollar since 1998? Nothaus's organization National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve and Internal Revenue Code issued these "liberty dollars" which bore a resemblance to normal U.S. coins. His intention:
"NORFED’s purpose was to mix Liberty Dollars into the current money of the United States. NORFED intended for the Liberty Dollar to be used as current money in order to limit reliance on, and to compete with, United States currency."NotHaus was convicted by a federal jury for creating and selling these coins today. His actions constituted a conspiracy against the United States. So much for following the Constitution...
The Congressional Budget Office just released its assessment of Obama's proposed 2012 budget. Surprise surprise, who would've guessed that the CBO estimate would show that projected deficit for the decade of 2011-2021 would be $2.3 trillion higher than that estimated by the White House?
Good thing we have opted to go to war with another country.
Update- Check out this great graph from Zerohedge:
