The Military Industrial Complex Continued Fraud and Libya Invasion Backfire, R.I.P. Nate Dogg

 From the Daily Caller:
Pentagon Overpaid Billionaire Oilman by Up to $200 Million, Audit Finds
The Defense Department overpaid a billionaire oilman by as much as $200 million on several military contracts valued at nearly $2.7 billion, an internal audit has found.
The Washington Post reported that the Defense Department’s inspector general estimated that the department paid Harry Sargeant III, a Florida businessman and once-prominent Republican donor, “$160 [millions] to $204 million more for fuel than could be supported by price or cost analysis.”
Just goes to show you that if you own a business and do contracting work with the government, you can get paid above market price as long as you keep those campaign donations coming.  I wonder if Mr. Sargeant qualifies for numerous tax breaks as well.

For all those neo-cons and leftists out there convinced we are doing God's work over in Libya, the Arab League has begun to voice their disagreement with the implementation of a no-fly zone:
The Arab League on Sunday criticized Western military strikes on Libya, a week after urging the United Nations to slap a no-fly zone on the oil-rich North African state."What has happened in Libya differs from the goal of imposing a no-fly zone and what we want is the protection of civilians and not bombing other civilians," Arab League secretary general Amr Mussa told reporters.
Update- Here is the video of George Will objecting to the no-fly zone on ABC's THIS Week yesterday:

Transcript:
CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR: "George. Do you think this was the right thing to do?"

GEORGE WILL: "I do not. We have intervened in a tribal society in a civil war. And we've taken sides in that civil war on behalf of people we do not know or understand. For the purpose not avowed, but inexorably of creating a political vacuum by decapitating the government. Into that vacuum, what will flow we do not know and cannot know."

Sound familiar?
I can't believe I missed this, but apparently the great Nate Dogg passed away last week.  He was easily one of the best hook singers in the history of both hip-hop and music in general.  R.I.P.
