Dude is pretty on point besides the Mitt Romney endorsement. He basically proves he can spot market trends but has some idiotic belief that the government actually fosters prosperity. As commentor WestVillageIdiot points out:*TIGER'S ROBERTSON SAYS `MACRO IS SO BAD EVERYWHERE' :285691Z US*TIGER'S ROBERTSON SAYS EUROPE IN `STATE OF FINANCIAL COLLAPSE'*TIGER'S ROBERTSON SAYS EXPECTING GREEK DEFAULT :285691Z US (and is worried for Portugal and Italy also)*TIGER'S ROBERTSON SAYS WORTH SHORTING WEAK EURO. CURRENCIES*TIGER'S ROBERTSON SAYS HUNGARY'S CURRENCY `LOT OF RISK'
Probably another old fuck that goes around professing how much he loves his children and grandchildren and then spends his life working to destabilize their world. I see that shit all the time. It is right up there with the phony patriots I see that have no problem shoveling mounds of bad paper onto the government but thos fuckers all have their hands over their hearts during the Star Spangled Banner. And yet this is the type of people who dominate our political culture. We have the liberal/democrat/leftists who profess their undying need to help the poor and end up creating a generation that is stuck suckling on the teet of welfare programs. Then we have the conservative/republican/right who speak such soaring rhetoric about the dangers of big government and then once in power treat the deficit like a $2 hooker and use it for all it's worth to finance just as many welfare programs as the left and throw in a couple of wars to top it off in the name of American exceptionalism. Of course one candidate is running for the office of the presidency who isn't a slick talking snake that will sell his own mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, and the neighbor's cat to get into office. Check him out in last night's debate:
Not sure if that is the best highlight video, for the good version go here. It won't come up on the blogger video upload for some reason.
Besides the Israel worshipers in the audience, Paul does fantastic as always. Something stuck out about Paul and the debate last night, something I have always notice but was incredibly prevalent last night. Unlike the other candidates who constantly play the line "repeal Obamacare" for cheap applause and wax on about all of their magnificent accomplishments, Paul concentrates on the ideas and philosophy of libertarianism. Not only does he do this, but he does it with a teaching posture. He doesn't suck his breath in, puff his chest out, and blurt out a bunch limited government talking points. He does his best at using his severely limited time to get across the idea that government services have become so imbedded in our culture that there exists another option outside the status quo.
Though this stood out in last night's debate, there was another very important point made last night. It was perhaps the most important idea brought up thus far in the three ring circus known as the Republican nomination process. This is the notion that somehow tax cuts should be paid for. As Paul pointed out, talking in terms of having to "pay" for tax cuts implies that the government is somehow entitled to our money; as if we need to insure that stolen money needs to made up for. Now of course ringing up the deficit isn't exactly a great thing either, that's basically generational theft. But to imply that somehow theft should be "paid" for is exactly the wrong way to go about the process of fixing our path toward bankruptcy and dollar destruction. It's a bastardization of all the ideas imbedded in the Declaration of Independence and shows just how beholden to the state this country has become complacent with. As I pointed out with Dick Cheney's life not being worth more than the life of anyone else, the country's whole idea about governance and what we expect from public officials needs to be complete reevaluated.
After a long rant, I think Paul should start using this as his prominent campaign ad.
Not sure what's up but blogger is doing a pretty poor job of being able to upload youtube videos tonight.
But whatever, at least a new Earth like planet was recently discovered. Maybe there will be better internet and politicians there.
